If you have a medical or fire emergency we encourage you to dial 911 as soon as possible. Be ready to tell the operator your name, your phone number, the location of the emergency and the nature of the emergency. Even if you think you can control the emergency yourself, PLEASE, get on the phone right away and call the 911 Emergency Operator at 911.
The 911 Operators are located in Grand Junction. They have at their disposal direct access to the State Police, Sheriff's Police, St. Mary's Flight For Life Helicopter, various ambulance teams, search and rescue teams, and, of course, the Gateway Unaweep Fire Department.
Please do not try to solve any emergency on your own! Dialing 911 could save a life, a home or a ranch!
